Pre-monsoon

I woke up this morning to pleasant weather. It’s cooled down significantly in the last couple of days. I sat outside without feeling grilled in an oven. It feels good to sit in the sun. I’m charged up. Or was it the coffee, I wonder? Today’s coffee is warm.

The roaring behind the hills is getting closer, roughly an hour before the sky blackens here. The hills interact strongly with the monsoon: 60 kmph winds, roaring and crackling skies, and incessant downpour.

I’m waiting for the severe weather alert SMS.
I hope there are no cloudbursts this year.
Proper monsoon should be a month away.
