2021 in Books
2021 was my favourite in terms of the different genres I explored. From books on running to Zen Buddhism, I immensely enjoyed indulging in the Orwellian empires and the cosmic horrors of Lovecraft's universe. Those reads not just entertained me but gave me so many new ideas and new mental models to think about the world and make sense of life. My favourite reads are listed here.
This year I would like to dive more into Philosophy, from Plato's Republic to Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil. I want to dabble in novels and 20th century English literary canon.
Some years ago, I had read that "books are weapons in the war of ideas". I'm not fighting any war, but I am experiencing the sentiment as I broaden my horizons.
